KUALA LUMPUR: The enhanced movement control order (MCO) over Masjid India and its surrounding areas, including Menara City One condominium and the Selangor and Malayan Mansions is expected to be lifted in the next few days, says Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
The Federal Territories Minister said most of the residents, including foreigners living there, have been tested for Covid-19.
Annuar also commented on the foreign workers who were rounded up Friday in Masjid India, saying some 500 who tested negative for Covid-19 were taken to immigration depots.“They have been tested and are healthy, and now we need to take the necessary action. We can’t just let them go back as they have broken the law," he said during a Facebook live-stream on Saturday .
“We were assured by the Health Ministry staff who carried out testing last week that the enhanced MCO would be lifted on April 27," said Menara City One management committee member Dr Nik Eliza Mohamed.
