Netball: The Super Netball season is upon us, with the launch in Sydney showcasing new franchise the Melbourne Mavericks.
After an off-season of transfer chaos – and the introduction of a new team – one of the most hotly anticipated Super Netball pre-seasons kicks off on Friday.
The event will be held in Sydney’s Ken Rosewall Arena on Wangal Country, where there’ll be plenty of opportunities for fans to meet their favourite players. The new team made a splash in the signing window by poaching a number of top stars, including elite England shooter Eleanor Cardwell from reigning champions Adelaide Thunderbirds.
“But I think someone who really drove that change in me was Tracey . She was obviously at T-Birds with me, I had that year to be coached by her and I just love how she went about the game.“That was very hard to say no to – hence why I’ve made the move here!”
