BANGKOK: Thailand is set to ease restrictions on alcohol sales and advertising, stepping up a push to liberalise a drinks market seen as likely to spur tourism and support smaller breweries.

"With NUR@Petra, we are extending e-rebates to micro, small and medium enterprises as well as the commercial and industrial sectors,” he said during a guest appearance on Bernama TV’s Ruang Bicara programme Thursday night. Koh said the initiative not only helps consumers reduce the cost of purchasing energy-efficient electrical appliances, but also leads to lower electricity bills through energy savings.
