Energy Commission ordered to investigate high TNB bills
Legal action may be taken against TNB if it is found to be in breach of Section 9C of the Electricity Supply Act 1990, which requires the utility company to 'fulfil the standard of supply performance and consumer service', says the energy minister. – AFP pic, May 28, 2019.
THE Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Ministry has instructed the Energy Commission to investigate high Tenaga Nasional Bhd bills. Minister Yeo Bee Yin said she has received more than 300 complaints on high electricity bills, adding that the commission will take two weeks to investigate the matter.
