A man has been pulled out alive but significantly injured after he was “buried in grain” at a rural location in central Queensland. Urgent efforts to free the man at Arcturus, about three hours west of Rockhampton, were launched about 9am on Wednesday.
CapRescue, which has sent a rescue helicopter to the scene, said the man “has been buried in grain following a silo collapse”. Queensland Ambulance Service tweeted that emergency service personnel had been “working to free the patient”. The man, who’s aged in his 30s, was pulled out just before midday. He was suffering “significant leg injuries”, QAS said. He was put in an ambulance to take him to the Rescue 300 helicopter which had landed nearby.
