House Speaker Martin Romualdez extols Filipino firefighters during the turnover of five 1,000-gallon fire trucks to the Bureau of Fire Protection headquarters in Quezon City.
“To the BFP, I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment and service. You are the embodiment of heroism and compassion, and your sacrifices do not go unnoticed,” Romualdez said in his speech. According to the House leader and Leyte 1st district congressman, the presence of firemen in communities provide "reassurance and peace of mind" since the people know that "in times of distress, there are brave souls ready to respond with unwavering determination".
