Pedro Pascal meets Pedro Pascal in new Last Of Us and Mandalorian crossover art.
The Mandalorian meets Joel Miller from The Last of Us in a comic book-inspired piece of fan art featuring Ellie and Grogu. Audiences are currently in the midst of the much-anticipated release of The Last of Us, a nine-episode HBO series that adapts the popular video game by the same name. Pedro Pascal stars as Joel, a father who must transport a young girl named Ellie across a post-apocalyptic America after it's been ravaged by a fungal brain infection, known as the Cordyceps virus.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY With Pascal's latest character sharing some similarities to another of his characters Din Djarin, otherwise known as the Mandalorian, a new piece of fan art by @JustRalphyyy has imagined a meeting between Pascal's two characters and their young companions. The brilliant fan art imagines the crossover as a comic book titled "The Last Mandalorian" whereby the Mandalorian and Joel can be seen facing one another, with Mando hilariously stating "I know that voice." In the background, Ellie can also be seen giving Grogu an inquisitive prod in an adorable meeting between the two. Check out the art above.
With The Mandalorian having first seen Pascal take on an adoptive-father role to Grogu, The Last of Us takes the emotion and meaning behind this sweet connection another step further. Having lost his own daughter under tragic circumstances, The Last of Us explores the relationship that begins to blossom between Joel and Ellie, with Joel's experiences in losing his daughter playing a major part in shaping his role as Ellie's newfound guardian.
While a real-life crossover from these characters is unfortunately out of the realm of possibility, this awesome fan art poses some interesting questions about how a potential partnership between The Mandalorian and Joel would look. While Pascal plays both characters differently, both share similarities such as their resilience, courage, and of course, their affection for their young companions.
