The company reported net income of $1.938 billion, or $2.14 a share, up from net income of $1.726 billion, or $1.90 a share, in the year-earlier period. Adjusted per-share earnings came to $2.09, ahead of the FactSet consensus of $1.78. Revenue fell to $7.302 billion, down from almost $8 billion a year ago.
