What: Eleventh Conference on Climate Change and Development in Africa - Green Growth and Climate Finance for Africa and the World
Who: African Development Bank, African Union Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the Government of KenyaThe African Union Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the African Development Bank--members of Climate for Development in Africa --will host the Eleventh annual conference on Climate Change and Development in Africa on the 1st and 2nd of September 2023 at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
The conference will bring together African stakeholder groups to discuss key climate change and development challenges and to identify opportunities and solutions. Among the expected participants are Afreximbank, East Africa Farmers Federation, Africa Energy Access Initiative, and African Legal Support Facility.
The ClimDev-Africa partners, in collaboration with Kenya's Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry and with the support of the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance , will hold the conference as the technical segment of the Africa Climate Summit under the latter's overarching theme, African Solidarity for Global Climate Action.Extractive industries, mining, critical minerals, and manufacturing powering the just transition to low-carbon, climate-resilient development pathways.
