BUTTERWORTH: Eleven men were each slapped with a RM1,000 compound each for playing football at a playground in Taman Bagan here.
North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said police on patrol found the men aged from 19 to 23 playing football at 1.30am on Sunday .
He said contact sports like football and basketball remained barred during the recovery movement control order period."All were fined RM1,000 each for violating the order," he said. ACP Noorzainy said the compound was issued under Rule 3 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2020.
