Members of the Douglas family made their first trip to Douglas, Ariz. after growing up and listening to stories about how one of their ancestors founded the city more than a century ago.
DOUGLAS, Ariz. — Stuart Douglas may be 80 years old but that didn't stop him from planning a family reunion to Douglas, Ariz. — a town close to his heart.
“We think of it as a celebration of the city uh that we get to join," Sandy Douglas said."We’re excited to be here cause it brings us together and also gives us a chance to get to know this exciting town. ” Douglas Days is an annual event held by the City of Douglas to celebrate the incorporation and history of the city. This years marks the eighty year honoring the man the city is named after, James Douglas.
