NSTworld: Singapore detected eight new cases of the Covid19 coronavirus as of Thursday night, bringing the tally in the republic to 58.

The city state’s Ministry of Health said that the cases comprise two Bangladeshis who work at the construction site of the Seletar Aerospace Heights; and five Singaporean congregants of the Grace Assembly of God church.

The eighth new case is a family member of a Covid-19 patient who works at DBS Asia Central at the Marina Bay Financial Centre.The MOH said all eight cases are currently being treated in isolation rooms at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases . It added that 43 confirmed cases are still in hospital, with seven in critical condition in intensive care units.
