PUTRAJAYA: The Budget 2023 allocation for expenditure in the education sector will not be reduced, says Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek
"There will be no reduction but from time to time, our formula is towards the needs of schools. The priority of the Ministry in Budget 2023 is dilapidated schools which would be given preference, while maintenance allocation remains with no reduction as we want to ensure schools are safe, comfortable as well as the quality of education,” she said.
On worries of parents on the price of food at school canteen, Fadhlina said the issue does not arise as there are agreements and guidelines between the canteen and the school.
