KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 — Schools nationwide have been told to stop all outdoor activities, including cross country running, amid a heatwave.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the ministry sent out a circular two days ago informing all principals and school administrations of this decision,“The ban is for all morning and evening schoolers where we want the studies to be fully conducted inside the classrooms,” Fadhlina was quoted as telling reporters after a visit to Tanjung Karang, Selangor yesterday.
