The Edo State Government has ordered an urgent review of the e-governance platform, stating that it is operated by non-state actors or consultants. This was disclosed by Governor Monday Okpebholo, and the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor, noted that there is no administrative control by the state's public service, posing a serious data security threat.
Edo State Government has said that the state's e-governance platform initiated by the immediate past government of Governor Godwin Obaseki was operated by unknown non-state actors or so called consultants.
reports that the State Governor, Monday Okpebholo disclosed this while ordering for an urgent review of the platform. A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor, dated 25th November, 2024, said no one within the entire Public Service of Edo State has administrative control of the platform.
