[EDITORIAL] Wrong lens, wrong priorities ni Sara Duterte

Pangalawang taon na ni Sara Duterte sa puwesto, at sa puntong ito, wala na dapat guesswork sa pagpapatakbo ng DepEd

Sa halip, obsessed siya sa paglaban sa insurgency na iginigiit niyang konektado sa trabaho niya bilang DepEd secretary. Pero tahimik siya o matabang ang tugon sa mga education issues tulad ngna ibinargain sa Facebook Marketplace at ilang surplus shops na repleksiyon ng maling sistema sa loob ng kalihiman.

Totoo ba ang sinabi ni Sara na “all heroes past and present will not at all be bothered” kung matanggal sila sa mga pader ng mga silid-aralan? Sabi dati ng tatay ni Sara na si dating presidente Rodrigo Duterte, “Tingnan mo ang sheriff binugbog. Where can you find a mayor mauling a sheriff in front of everybody on TV? Talagang ano ‘yan si Inday. Be careful of that woman. She can oust even a speaker.”

Sana’y gagap ng anak ni Duterte ang kapangyarihan niya lagpas sa aggressiveness na kailangan upang manapak ng sheriff o magpatalsik ng House speaker. Bilang DepEd secretary at bise presidente, sana’y alam ni Sara na isa siyang changemaker – may kapangyarihan siyang baguhin ang kapalaran ng napakaraming batang Pilipino.
