EC declares results for 112 seats, no coalition in position to claim victory

THE Election Commission has announced the official results for 112 seats, with no coalition having anywhere near the simple majority needed to win the general election in the 222 seat parliament. Election Commission Chairman Abdul Ghani Salleh said Pakatan Harapan had won 28 seats, Perikatan Nasional and PAS as a PN ally contested under its logo in Kelantan and Terengganu.The EC chairman said Gabungan Rakyat Sabah picked up 4 seats, DAP , Parti Warisan Sabah , The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance or Muda , Parti Bangsa Malaysia and an Independent .
