SANDAKAN: The Election Commission (EC) has appointed 57 observers from 10 organisations and two qualified individuals to monitor the Sandakan parliamentary by-election process here.
EC deputy chairman Dr Azmi Sharom said at a press conference after the nomination process on Saturday that the Commission has also formed four enforcement teams for the campaign.
He said voter’s cards with electoral data including voting centre, channel and time of voting have also been issued to the 39,349 voters, but reminded them that they still need to bring their identity cards on polling day.
