Dean Narramore from the Bureau of Meteorology said about 86mm of rain had fallen in Sydney from Saturday into Sunday morning, with widespread showers.Australia's east coast is expecting days of rain. Narramore said the focus of the rain today would be on Sydney through to Newcastle, but that showers and storms were also possible in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.Narramore said the rain would persist on the east coast today and tomorrow, before easing on Wednesday and Thursday.
