BUTTERWORTH: Thousands commuting to work on Wednesday morning were caught in congestion on the Penang Bridge due to ongoing maintenance work worsened by an accident.PLUS Malaysia Bhd's @plustrafik X account reported that the accident has caused slow-moving traffic and the left and right lane of the bridge heading to the island is blocked.Motorist Azimah Abdul Aziz,41, said she was on her way to work in Batu Maung at 6.

“The app showed there was an unusual amount of congestion on my route, and I thought it might be an accident or a road closure," she saidOn the maintenance work on Penang Bridge, the work is ongoing from 10am to 3pm from KM1.8 to KM2.2, island-bound.
