From July 1, any enquiries or complaints against the police must be channelled through the security division of the home ministry.
This is because the police is no longer listed under the schedule of the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission Act 2009 as one of the enforcement agencies under its purview, the EAIC said in a statement today. “The EAIC, however, will resolve all complaints and investigations received before July 1, 2023, within a period of one year until July 1, 2024.
