The Road Transport Department says e-hailing drivers can apply for the PSV licence starting April 1, paying a RM200 fee.
Enforcement of new law requiring e-hailing drivers to obtain PSV licence will begin from July 12.
A Star Online report said the PSV training module is capped at RM200 and e-hailing drivers can apply for the licence at driving institutes or e-hailing operator driving centres approved by the department. RTD said vehicles less than three years old used for the e-hailing service must also change their registered usage code from an individual private vehicle to e-hailing private vehicle.
