E-Filing of RPGT Forms Mandatory from January 1, 2025

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) of Malaysia announced that the submission of Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) Forms electronically via e-CKHT on the MyTax portal will become mandatory starting January 1, 2025. Taxpayers can file their RPGT Forms through the MyTax portal by logging in with their Tax Identification Number (TIN) and selecting the 'ezHASIL Services' menu 'eCKHT'. Authorized lawyers and licensed tax agents can also access e-CKHT on behalf of taxpayers through the TaeF System 2.0 and the Lawyer Role in MyTax respectively.

PUTRAJAYA: The submission of the Real Property Gains Tax Form electronically via e-CKHT on the MyTax portal will be mandatory starting Jan 1, 2025.

It said that authorised lawyers and licensed tax agents appointed are permitted to access e-CKHT on behalf of taxpayers through the following platforms; licensed tax agents via TaeF System version 2.0; and Lawyers via the Lawyer Role in MyTax.
