CORONAVIRUS | Ex-health minister agrees to bring in his expertise as 60 pct of cases come from the state.
| Former health minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad will be helming a special Selangor task force to tackle the Covid-19 outbreak.
This comes as the Selangor Special Action Council decided to form a task force as up to 60 percent of recorded cases involving Malaysians comprised those from the state. “ unanimously decided to form a task force to monitor and control the virus . Dzulkefly has agreed to lead it,” Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said in a statement today.“The public need not be worried as the situation to date is under control.Malaysia has recorded 117 Covid-19 cases, of which 24 have since recovered. Of theAmirudin added that the task force will be working with the Smart Selangor Command Centre to track the virus using the geographic information systems.
