People due state pensions or benefits on Bank Holiday Monday, May 29, will receive their cash three days early. State pension, universal, tax credits, and child benefits, will receive payments on Friday, May 26. It comes after the DWP announced job centres and phone lines are set to close on the holiday. The department has advised people that early payments will allow people with any queries to contact the relevant department, the Daily Record reports.Social Security Scotland confirmed on Twitter that payments due on May 29 would arrive on Friday, May 26, meaning offices, web chat and phone lines will close. The DWP said: "On Monday, May 29, Jobcentre Plus offices and phone lines are closed.
