abc.net.au/news/peter-dutton-denies-ministers-misrepresented-judges-voice/102452512Federal Opposition Leader Liberal MPs have been accused of deliberately misrepresenting the evidence of legal experts on the Voice in the chamber
When asked about the issue on Wednesday, Mr Dutton dismissed the reporting and denied his shadow ministers misrepresented the evidence. In his testimony, Mr French said he thought it would be unlikely that the Voice would lead to a quagmire of legal challenges in the High Court. "The very argument that requiring consultation, advanced notice and delay would disrupt the ordinary and efficient working of government, and the executive government in particular, demonstrates conclusively – and I use the word 'conclusively' deliberately – demonstrates conclusively why you do not make the implication suggested."The point is one which I simply regard as untenable, and that's not a word that often trips off my lips," Mr Hayne told the inquiry.
