Duterte offers US$200,000 reward for Covid-19 vaccine

PHILIPPINE President Rodrigo Duterte is offering a reward of almost US$200,000 to any citizen who can develop a vaccine for the Covid-19 virus, the Anadolu Agency reports, citing local media. “Covid-19 is a public enemy, not only in the Philippines but in the entire world; the president announced he will give a reward of up to 10 million Philippine peso to any Filipino who can discover a vaccine against Covid-19,” presidential spokesman Harry Roque said at a news briefing, local daily Manila Bulletin reported.
