President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday renewed his attack on the left, calling on the public not to vote for the Makabayan party-list groups which he said are “legal fronts of the Communist Party of the Philippines .”
“Makita naman ninyo sa behavior nila and the way they espouse their advocacy for a party, left ang talagang drift nila,” he said. “Huwag ninyong iboto ‘yan, kung iboto niyo ‘yang partylist ang bala, magkano ang isang bala ngayon? .. Isang putok is P30, huminto na kayo dyan kung ibigay natin sa barangay lahat nagsasayang kayo ng buhay, nagsasayang kayo ng pera,” he also said.
"They are earning billions. Kayong mga NPA na nasa gubat ngayon na gutom walang makain, may sakit, ang inyong liderato bilyon ang nakukuha nyan," he said.
