Dunkin' is hiring 25,000 workers across America

The donut chain announced on Monday that its franchisees are seeking to hire 25,000 people, filling positions from entry-level jobs to restaurant management. As part of the hiring campaign, Dunkin' is running its first ever national recruitment advertising.

The hiring spree comes as restaurants across the US reopen their dining rooms, with Dunkin' saying in a statement that roughly 90% of locations are currently open. "We are proud to support our franchisees who offer much-needed job opportunities, in a welcoming environment where people can feel appreciated and rewarded for serving both customers and their communities during this critical time," Stephanie Lilak, Dunkin' Brands' chief human resources office, said in a statement.

The restaurant industry lost more than 6 million jobs during the coronavirus pandemic, as shelter in place orders forced many restaurants and bars to close. However, May brought some of these people back to work.
