Although rough sleepers had made a temporary home in a wooded area outside of Dublin some people tried to move them on

A wooded area near a suburb just outside of Dublin that was used as a camp by people experiencing homelessness has been abandoned after they were moved away by some people in the area.

Speaking to this publication one local, who did not wish to be named, said that the rough sleepers have gone for around four months now after some people “went in and tried to move them off”. “There were actually local people who went in and tried to move them off. I don’t know why, maybe there was some incident in the community.

Another local man who also did not want to be named added that the people who were staying there did not cause any “hassle” but following a social media post people began to “blame them for everything.”
