PETALING JAYA: The number of dengue cases in the country has reduced by 11.7% so far compared to last year, says Datuk Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The health director-general said that a total of 46,938 cases had been recorded from January until May, compared with 53,187 cases recorded in the same period last year.
There have been 82 deaths reported so far this year, while last year, 81 deaths were recorded during the same period. “Dengue is endemic in this country, so we would like to advise all Malaysians to make sure that you clean your homes," he said during a press conference on Thursday .
