On Tuesday, Davenport, 33, appeared in Cumberland County court to learn his prison sentence. He told the judge he is getting older and needs to change how he’s living life if he wants to spend some time with his mother before she’s gone, too. “These offenses can get more deadly as you get older,” Judge Jessica Brewbaker told Davenport at his Tuesday morning sentencing hearing.Courtney Ellen Hair Larue, the prosecutor who took Davenport’s case to trial last month, said it was the second-worst chase of its kind she has ever seen.
Davenport was arrested March 4, 2021 at the end of a harrowing 15-minute chase that topped out between 100 to 125 miles per hour, according to Milore. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Davenport pulled over, turned, and started driving west in the Turnpike’s eastbound lanes.
