Driver leads law enforcement on freeway pursuit from Linda Vista to Lakeside [Breaking]
A driver in a lifted pickup led law enforcement officials on a chase from Linda Vista to Lakeside on Friday morning, with the fleeing motorist pulling over several times before he was apprehended on Interstate 8.
Footage from OnScene TV shows the white truck stopped near the Texas Street on-ramp. Several police vehicles are spread out behind the truck and across the freeway, blocking traffic. Several police officers have weapons drawn. O’Brien said the fleeing pickup driver swiped the side of a fire truck that had responded to an unrelated crash a short distance down the freeway, O’Brien said.
