The body of a 28-year-old lorry driver was discovered in the boot of his car in Mersing, Malaysia. Police believe the motive was revenge, as the victim was reportedly involved with the suspect's former wife.

MERSING: Revenge is believed to be the motive behind the murder of a male lorry driver whose body was found inside a car boot at KM26 along Jalan Jemaluang-Kahang here on Saturday (Dec 28). Mersing OCPD Supt Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said the victim, aged 28, was found fully clothed inside the boot of a vehicle that he owned, with visible injuries to his neck. “I can confirmed that Mersing police found the body of a local man inside a car trunk at around 1.
50pm on Saturday (Dec 28). “Following the discovery, police arrested a man and a woman in Johor Baru at around 4.30am on Sunday (Dec 29) morning to help with the investigation,” he said. Supt Abdul Razak added that the suspects, aged between 33 and 35 years old, were under remand for seven days to help investigations into the case classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code. “Police have solved the case within 24 hours. Initial investigations show that the motive could be revenge as the victim was having an affair with the suspect’s former wife,” he said
