A driver fled after his car struck a teenage boy who was biking in Anchorage’s Abbott Loop neighborhood Saturday night, police said.

The boy was brought to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, said police spokeswoman Renee Oistad.

Three people were riding bikes northbound near the 9400 block of Brayton Drive when one was hit by a car that was also northbound, Oistad said. The driver did not stop, she said. Police were called to the area just before 10:30 p.m. There were limited details about the car’s description, Oistad said on Monday morning. No charges had been filed and police were still looking for the driver, she said.
