UFC fighter Dricus du Plessis has reacted to a revelation by Rassie Erasmus that one of the Springboks – Cobus Reinach – had received death threats.
The South African player was at the receiving end of a nasty attack by French fans. This after the Boks beat France in a Rugby World Cup quarter-final clash this weekend.Rassie made the revelation in a tweet on Thursday, 19 October. In it, he included screenshots of the alarming message aimed at both Cobus – who plays for French clubTranslated into English, the message read: “Dirty son of a b***h. I hope that when you return to Montpellier you get murdered by French people on the ground.
Alerting the public to the scare, Rassie tweeted: “Unfortunately these threats were made to Cobus Reinach! It’s not nice and upsets a mom and dad to see things like that said about their boy!This is obviously not true.
Following the news, UFC fighter Dricus du Plessis – who was tagged as a meme in Rassie’s tweet – sent his own message to the cowards.He tweeted: “Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie! Die bok Leef! Like many South Africans, Dricus is a staunch supporter of the Springboks and has shared many messages of support to them.
