On Saturday evening, August 26, a Laker named Austin Reaves played for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.As expected, the Pinoy Laker fans made sure to give the 6-foot-7 guard the warmest welcome he could possibly get in his World Cup debut.It's an act that was no surprise to Reaves.'I've kind of seen it coming.

'I'm from a super small town, not a lot of people expected me to be here, representing our country,. For them [Filipino fans] to accept me the way that they [have] accepted me, it means a lot to me,' shared Reaves.'Every kid wants to be on this stage. I was one of those kids watching the World Cup, the Olympics. Every day I wake up, I cherish those moments . I don't take them for granted.'Don't take his World Cup debut fot granted, Reaves did.
