There's a ton to do in the game, and ahead of Dragon Quest Treasures' release on December 9, 2022, producer Taichi Inuzuka discussed the spinoff's development with Screen Rant.
How concerned was the team about canon, in terms of making sure Dragon Quest Treasures ties up nicely to what’s presented in Dragon Quest XI? Taichi Inuzuka: In general, even if players have no prior knowledge of DRAGON QUEST XI, there won’t be any issues playing one without the other. There may be, however, some supplemental details from DRAGON QUEST XI that you might pick up on in DRAGON QUEST TREASURES if you are familiar with the former.
Was it difficult making Dragon Quest Treasures feel different from previous spin-offs like the Monsters series?
