JOHOR BARU: More than RM1.2mil have been raised for the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) through charity drives across the nation.

said that the charity drives have received an overwhelming response from members of the public who are genuinely concerned about the college.

"TAR UC will continue to shine with the overwhelming support of the public, which is evident in the various fundraising activities that have been conducted," he said in his speech during a fundraising dinner for the college here Thursday evening . On top of the accumulated total of about RM1.1mil, another RM120,000 have been collected during the charity dinner here, which includes the auction of a calligraphy painting that raised about RM10,000.
