Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today brushed aside the new political alliance between Umno and PAS with his trademark sarcasm.He said while Malaysian law forbids same-sex marriages, there are no such restrictions on political marriages."If they want to unite, they can unite.
If they want to get married, go ahead and get married. We are a free country... to get married to a man, you can't do that here."They want to get married , it is okay," he told reporters in Parliament today.Last Tuesday, Umno and PAS formalised their cooperation which had proven to be effective in the past two by-elections in Cameron Highlands and Semenyih.
