Dr Mahathir insists Singapore will lose if water issue goes to court

PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Singapore will lose if it seeks international arbitration over the “ridiculous” price it pays to Malaysia for raw water. Speaking to reporters this morning, Dr Mahathir said both countries would have to be in agreement before they could take their dispute to the World Court – a common name for the International Court of Justice or the International Court of Arbitration – but added that Singapore would not want to do so because “if they go to the World Court they will lose”.
