KUALA LUMPUR: The government is expected to file a motion in the Dewan Rakyat today to replace Public Accounts Committee chairman Ronald Kiandee with Barisan Nasional’s Parit Sulong MP Noraini Ahmad. The motion is listed as item number nine on the Order Paper of the Dewan Rakyat sitting today. It is expected to be tabled by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Noraini, a three-term MP for Parit Sulong, is also Wanita Umno chief. She was appointed as a PAC member in August last year, replacing former PAC chief Hasan Arifin.Pakatan Harapan, in its election manifesto, had pledged to appoint an opposition lawmaker to head the committee.
