KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) has announced that Datuk Nor Azam M. Taib, the chief executive officer of MBSB Bank Bhd (MBSB Bank), will step down on June 30, 2024.
PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been told to attend the Royal Commission of Inquiry on the sovereignty of Batu Puteh, Middle Rocks and South Ledge.
“My lawyer and I had expected that we would be called to attend the entire proceedings since I am involved in the matter which the RCI is discussing. “And the accusations were made by members of the current Cabinet, claiming that I made decisions secretly and on my own. “Due to that, it is necessary for me or my lawyer to be present to follow this proceeding from beginning to end to find out if all those involved in the decision-making were called, and if not, why not; and if so, what did they say.
On Feb 3, 2017 the Malaysian government filed an application for a revision of the ICJ’s ruling in awarding legal jurisdiction of Batu Puteh to Singapore in June the following year.
