Dr M puji kerajaan percayai golongan professional tangani krisis Covid-19
Bekas perdana menteri Dr Mahathir Mohamad berkata dunia akan berjaya menangani tekanan yang jauh lebih buruk daripada Kemelesetan Ekonomi Dunia pada 1929. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 3 Jun, 2020.
Dr Mahathir berkata demikian dalam wawancara bersama Creative Cloud Community menerusi YouTube dengan tajuk ‘How to Turn Crisis into Opportunity’ . Mengenai kesan pandemik ke atas perniagaan terutama perusahaan kecil dan sederhana , beliau menyarankan perniagaan berusaha memahami jangkitan ini supaya mereka mengetahui perkara yang perlu dilakukan atau dielakkan.
Justeru, beliau menggesa perniagaan supaya mempelajari teknologi seperti persidangan video selain berhati-hati mencari peluang perniagaan di samping tidak boleh berhenti daripada memikirkan usaha penerokaan kaedah baharu untuk berubah dan menjadi kreatif. Mengenai masalah aliran tunai yang dihadapi perniagaan, beliau berkata bank harus melonggarkan sedikit syarat pinjaman manakala kerajaan juga perlu membantu.
