Dr M launches myPortfolio to beef up civil sector

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has launched a workplace guideline for the public sector, known as myPortfolio, aimed at creating a conducive environment to make the civil sector more efficient.

The myPortfolio initiative is developed by Malaysian administrative modernisation and management planning unit , which lets civil servants know what is required in executing his duties.The process is also to facilitate supervisors in monitoring the work status of each task and to take corrective measures, should there be delays.

Dr Mahathir said the government remained committed to boosting Malaysia’s competitiveness at the international level. “Malaysia also excelled in corporate governance and this is evident in CG Watch Report 2018, where we are placed fourth among 12 Asia Pacific countries, compared with sixth place in 2016.
