PUTRAJAYA: The Sultan of Johor has no influence in determining state exco line-up, says Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad"The Sultan has no influence," said Dr Mahathir after launching an Orang Asli convention here on Monday .
The swearing-in of the Johor state executive council on Monday saw three new faces in the 11-man line up. On a separate matter, the Prime Minister said the government would look into the quota system for the Education Ministry's matriculation programme.Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik is expected to raise the issue in this week's Cabinet meeting on Wednesday .The annual student intake for the matriculation programme is 25,000, of which 2,500 seats are allocated for non-bumiputra students.
