Dr. Fauci says football is perfect environment to spread coronavirus

The NFL released its 256-game regular season schedule last week and remains intent to begin the campaign on September 10.

Before the NFL and college football can return, however, teams have to ensure a number of key requirements are met as the sport in its present state is fertile ground for spreading coronavirus.

Fauci reiterated testing was non-negotiable if sports were to return sooner rather than later, but admitted it presented an enormous logistical challenge."But that's not practical and that's never going to happen. But you can diminish dramatically by testing everybody Saturday night, Sunday morning, and say OK, only negative players play."
