Those who gathered are calling for the release of more than 200 hostages taken by Hamas.
HOUSTON — Dozens rallied in downtown Houston Sunday afternoon outside city hall. The demonstrators gathered during an event dubbed “Bring them home.”The rally was largely peaceful, despite a little back and forth between two supporters of Palestine who showed up.
“More than 200 people have been taken hostage by Hamas terrorists,” Ramit Plushnick-Masti said. “They range in all ages from babies of just a few months old to elderly people over 80 years old.” “We all feel the same way, we do not want a war,” Plushnick-Masti said. “We did not ask for this war. We want our hostages freed and we want Hamas gone. Hamas is what is holding everyone in the region hostage, including the Palestinians.”“It is important for every human to stand up against such atrocities,” Plushnick-Masti said.
