PETALING JAYA: It was a double joy for Malaysia when Jacky Kok Jing Hong and Arif Wan Junaidi-Mohd Haikal Nazri emerged winners at respectively at the German Junior Open on Sunday.
Jacky clinched the boys' singles title in emphatic fashion, outplaying Indonesia's Alvi Wijaya Chairullah 21-15,21-15 in just 25 minutes.
In the boys' doubles final, Arif-Haikal exacted sweet revenge for their Dutch Junior International defeat in the previous week with a 13-21,21-18,21-16 win over Indonesian duo Muhammad Rayhan Nur Fadillah-Rahmat Hidayat.They also bagged a bronze through Justin Hoh and Haikal-Low Yeen Yuan who were the losing semi-finalists of the boys singles and mixed doubles.
