Bickerstaff, and with friends, family, coaches and teammates in attendance, Mitchell spoke about leaving Utah and his excitement surrounding the blockbuster trade that is expected to launch Cleveland into Eastern Conference playoff contention.“When I first found out I was golfing, so the report is true.

I’m truly excited just to be a part of this organization, to be here in the city, to have fun playing basketball playing with a group of guys who really want to win and really want to continue to build. We’re young, but we’re hungry. We’re ready. It’s weird saying I’m probably one of the older guys on the team. But like I said we’re really excited.”“I think it’s experience.
“And the city of Cleveland, I’ve been here a few times outside of just playing the game. Obviously the All-Star game was here last year. Unfortunately I was sick so I was in the hotel room all day, but for me, I’m going to be able to see a bunch of Browns and Guardians games for sure. Just being able to be around the city, like the love, that’s the one thing I can say for it. Just the love that I’ve received, the team has received, I think is something that really truly stands out.
“LeBron James. Not going to lie to you, I didn’t realize how many Cleveland fans there are in America and in the world. Like, once I got traded, everywhere people were walking and they were like, ‘I’m a Cleveland fan, I’m a Cleveland fan.’ I was like, ‘Wow, I had no idea.’ The love and support you get from the fans is truly incredible. I was at the decision.
